is the isami gi any good ?

When I first read this post, I thought it said: "Is the Islam gi any good" ?!

With a gi whose name means submission how could you possibly go wrong?

Are you refering to the Isami Gi that is sold on kodokangear.com? If so you might want to let people know that it is a bjj gi. Thats the only Isami gi I have personally heard of.

I don't practice BJJ and don't have a gi for it. You might want to try posting in the "other martial arts" sub-forum or email Vin at kodokan gear. I did buy my 2 mizuno eurocomp gi from the site and they are a pretty great place to do business with.

agreed. Vin knows his stuff and will do a good job of both fitting you and not steering you wrong.

If you were to get the double weave jj4xx series, get it from vinh.
If you're looking at another jiu jitsu gi from isami, check out www.chokesports.com All they have left is an A4 badboy isami gi (type "jitsu gi" on ebay, it's there) orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr you can get the red single weave jj-200 gi. I've got one on order, cost me 80 bucks shipped, if you email them, tell em i sent you, and maybe they'll lop off $15 dollars.

I'm waiting for it, i'm gonna do a review on it, but in the meantime here's the review on both isami gis
